Red Koto

Red Koto is a collection of 28 tunings by Koto Virtuoso Chieko Mori. Each tuning refers to a composition by Chieko Mori, written especially for learning Koto Music in her "Koto Studio" school, Tokyo.

Red Koto can be used for tuning the Koto by ear, for learning scales, or for playing with the different tunings.

The carefully recorded sounds are played both picked with the left hand and plucked with the right hand using ivory picks. The iPad version includes an additional sustained sound for each note. Notes are indicated on the screen in Japanese and Western style.

Red Kotoは箏の伝統的な調弦（チューニング）の概念を完全に解き放ち、東洋のハープとして捉え直したバリエーション豊かな２８種類の調弦にて箏を弾くことが出来るアプリケーションです。国内、海外にて活躍している第一人者の作曲家／KOTO STUDIO自由流家元の森　稚重子監修によるKOTOSTUDIOオリジナル調弦。右手で琴爪をつけて弾いた弾き爪奏法と左手で弾いた擦音（ピチカット）奏法、さらにiPad では実音をモジュレートした持続音を鳴らす機能を備えました。調律は４４２ヘルツを基調としています。アプリケーションは日本語と英語の表記です。シンプルな操作は誰でも気軽に音を出したり、調弦移動が可能です。美しいお箏の音色をサンプリングしてありますのでアプリ自体を自在に使い、お箏を弾いて遊ぶことが出来ます。全ての調弦にはそれぞれ箏の練習曲としての作品があります。興味のある方はお問い合わせください。
